BrideVice Vol. VIII – Rehearsal Dinner

Happy Wedding Eve! Rehearsal dinners generally take place the night before your wedding in preparation of the ceremony. This event can be as small or large as you’d like. Keep it consistent with your wedding. What should you expect from a rehearsal dinner? Well, let us tell you:

First, pick a location. Rehearsal dinner doesn’t have to be in an extravagant dinner at a fancy restaurant. This could even take place in someone’s home.

Who’s invited to the dinner? Typically, the bridal party and close family members and/or anyone involve in the ceremony would be in attendance at the rehearsal dinner.

Be sure your venue is equipped to host as many guests you’re expecting. Do you like the food, drinks, ambiance, etc.?

During the rehearsal dinner is when many bride and grooms present their bridal party with some sort of thank you gift for being part of their special day. Not sure on a gift for your groomsman or bridesmaid?

For the Bridesmaids:

Accessory to wear on your wedding day, monogramed bag, jewelry, etc.

For the Groomsmen:

Alcohol, flask, cocktail glasses, cigars, etc.

Finally, decide on who will be giving any sort of speech during the dinner. This doesn’t have to be limited to one person. Typically, the father of the groom has some sort of role in a speech.
